Generally, women with breast cancer experience a high level of stress and distress. Yoga is a great way to combat that stress. After a yoga practice, positive emotions have been released and women tend to feel more peaceful and calm.</p>
<p>A great way to start is with <a href="http://www.shambhalamountain.org/programs/Yoga-Body-and-Spirit">restorative yoga</a> – a more passive and gentle form of yoga that uses props such as cushions and blankets for support. A continued practice of restorative yoga can improve areas of mental health such as depression as well as decrease one’s overall fatigue.</p>
